Folios 161-162: James Keith Shepard, HMS Phoebe, Sheerness. Reports he has sent the Admiralty's order regarding additional Mates and Midshipmen to Captain Western [Captain Thomas Western ?] at Chatham, as well as to the commanding officers of all Navy vessels at Sheerness. The letter addressed to Captain James Colnett has been sent to him. Also encloses the receipt for William Bennet and John McNamara which Lieutenant Archibald Telfer said was sent to him, but which did not arrive before the court of enquiry. It corresponds with the entry on the books of HMS Locust.
Folio 163: enclosure with folios 161-162. Receipt signed by W Ritchie for two men, William Bennett and John McNamara, received from Lieutenant Archibald Telfer, having been raised at the Wapping rendezvous for HMS Clyde.
Folios 164-164A: enclosure with folios 161-162. Unsigned note saying the dates on the lists sent with the men from the [Wapping] rendezvous tally with the receipts from Lieutenant John Lake transmitted by Lieutenant Archibald Telfer. The fact that two men were not victualled on the day of their entry appears to have been a mistake.
