Description

Folios 267-268: Sir Robert Moorsom, HMS Majestic, Yarmouth Roads. Has been informed that Malachi Morris cannot be paid the bounty until he produces a warrant for HMS Courageux on which a was acting Schoolmaster and I enclose his own statement of his situation, as he is acting as Schoolmaster on HMS Majestic, I would be grateful if he can have a Warrant or otherwise an order for his discharge.

Folio 269: enclosure in folios 217-218. Undated covering note from Malachi Morris, Acting Schoolmaster on HMS Majestic to Captain Sir Robert Moorsom, HMS Majestic. Asks him to review the attached narrative and seek to procure a Warrant.

Folios 269-270: enclosure in folios 217-218. Undated note from Malachi Morris in support of this application to the Admiralty for a warrant to procure his Bounty for service on HMS Courageux (Captain Charles Boyles) and other service as set out.
