Folios 251-252: Joseph Short, Lynn. John Donnes, Mate of a small brig out of Lynn, was found on shore not on duty and very drunk. He was very abusive to one of the midshipmen in consequence of which Lieutrenant Smith Holmes impressed him and he has been very abusive since his arrival at the Rendezvous. He has decided to send him to the Nore.
