Description

Folios 246-247: Joseph Short, Lynn. Reporting that the tender sailed for the Nore with 1 deserter, 5 volunteers and 80 neutrals from Norman Cross. He didnot send Miache;l Holmes as he waiited fro directions. He will now send him on the next tender. He encloses his register which came via the Burnham Carrier, his master has never made application to to hi8m for his discahrge so far.

Folio 248: enclosure with folios 246-247. Baptism letter dated 26 March 1800 from Robert Crowe, Curate. Extract from the Parish Register Booke of Burham Westgate, Norfolk that Michael Holmes, son of William and Esther (nee Petts) Holmes was born and privately baptised 19 January 1783 and publically baptised 26 February 1786.
