Folios 275-276: James Stevenson, HMS Europa, Spithead. Requests the appointment of a Lieutenant. Reports Lieutenant Hughes went on shore leave at Yarmouth 29 October. HMS Europa sailed 31 October without him, six weeks later he received a letter from HMS Shannon in the Downs saying he’d followed to Texel, only couldn’t rejoin. Asking the Clerk of the Cheque pays Bounty to William Lovill Ord. and James Fergusson, Landsman who joined at Port Mahon.
