Folios 219-220: George Hopewell Stephens, HMS Barfleur, Cawsand Bay. Requesting two Lieutenants. Neither Lieutenant Valens Comens [Comyn] or Lieutenant Hugh Talbot have joined to replace Lieutenant Welsh who's gone to HMS Tremerare. Hears Lieutenant Talbot was left behind when HMS Kangaroo sailed from Ireland and Lieutenant Withers has gone to sick quarters. Returns Lieutenant Thompson’s commission for HMS Barfour. Kept Lieutenant Young’s who didn’t join HMS Windsor Castle before she sailed with the fleet from Torbay till the two ships meet for him and Lieutenant Heritage to make the appointed exchange.
