Folios 459-460: William Sidney Smith, London. Covering letter for the enclosed letter requesting that the Boatswains of HMS Tigre and HMS Cumberland exchange ships. Michael Brand, HMS Cumberland being recommended by Mr Robb the Master Attendant of Portsmouth Dockyard.
Folios 461-462: enclosure with folios 459-460. Letter dated 13 July 1798 by Oliver Paul, Boatswain HMS Le Tigre [HMS Tigre], Michael Brand, Boatswain HMS Cumberland, Portsmouth Dock Yard, to the Admiralty. Request to exchange ships.
