Folios 361-362: Joseph Short, [Regulating Officer], Lynn [Kings Lynn]. Covering letter for the enclosed [not present] weekly return of this Rendevous, by the same post you will receive a letter from Mr Self requesting the discharge of William Willson an Imprest Man, Mr Self has shown him the letter, the contents of which are perfectly correct, but as there are many men of his description. He represents that if a man (using the water) renting a small quantity of land, or having stood his Ballot for the Militia exempts him from being imprest, he has no doubt that many will avail themselves of it. William Willson's barge was not registered, she being under thirteen tons. He will sent the Tender once he receives an answer.
