Folios 357-358: Joseph Short, [Regulating Officer], Lynn [Kings Lynn]. He reports that he has received a letter from Captain Daniel Woodriff Superintendent of Norman Cross prison saying that he has received Instructions to report upon 134 men who declare themselves Neutrals. On his arrival at Norman Cross many of them may offer to enter into the Navy. He requests instructions if he is to receive those that he judges fit, as he can with little more expense bring a great or a small number down the river. He also request to know if he can give them the Kings Shilling. He will sent the tender with all the men he has directly the weather permits. He will set off for Norman Cross to execute their directions.
