Folios 339-340: Joseph Short, [Regulating Officer], Lynn [Kings Lynn]. Covering letter for the enclosed [not present] weekly return by which you will see that the Tender sailed on 21 September 1798 with seven men and one boy from this Rendezvous and four men from Wells [Wells-next-the-Sea] and four men from Boston. He states he has just received a letter from Lieutenant Seymor's [John Seymour] with yours and Mr Hogg's inclosed concerning James Hart the Greenland man and beg to say that he is the same man mentioned in his letter of the 16 September 1798 who I was directed to detain in your letter dated 17 September 1798 and he was sent by Tender to the Nore. He states he is just going to Wells [Wells-next-the-Sea] where he will make every enquiry and report any further circumstances returning Mr Hogg's letter [not present] as directed.
