Folios 241-242: Joseph Short, [Regulating Officer] Lynn [Kings Lynn]. Covering letter for the enclosed [not present] weekly return of this Rendezvous. He informs that a deserter from the Royal Navy had been lodged in Swaffham Jail (and meaning to send the tender away on Tuesday). He has sent a Midshipman and two men for him. He hopes they will allow the Lieutenant to charge their expenses in his accounts. He has also just had information of a Deserter from HMS Russel that sailed recently from here to Newcastle, his description I have inclosed to the Regulation Officer at that place.
