Folios 237-238: Joseph Short, [Regulating Officer] Lynn [Kings Lynn]. States he has just apprehended Thomas Wood, who deserted from this Rendezvous over three years ago, he has at present a protection for the Fountain Greenland Ship of this Port. The excuse he makes is that he was not regulated he being pressed in the evening, but the two Midshipmen of the Rendezvous particularly recollect the circumstances, as also his person, and sys he was in custody of the Lieutenant at the Rendezvous who delivered him charge of the watch for the night.
