Folios 235-236: Thomas Revell Shivers, HMS Standard, Chatham. Reply to letter dated 17 April 1798 was by accident mixed with some papers and was not discovered till yesterday. In reply he says that neither of the Young Gentlemen named in his letter of the 16April 1798 was brought into the Service by himself and they have all been under his care since he took Command of HMS Standard. He repeats he has no other motive other than that stated in that letter.
