Folios 329-330: Robert Stopford, HMS Phaeton, Falmouth. He reports his arrival having seen the merchant ships safely to Oporto and other nearby ports together with Charles Stirling, HMS Jason. He has captured a French privateer, L'Actif, off Ushant. She was carrying 19 guns and had a crew of 120 men. L'Actif had already captured the Princess Elizabeth packet from Jamaica. He has brought in a ship flying Ragusa colours loaded with cargo belonging to Amsterdam merchants.
