Folios 273-274: Joseph Short, Lynn. Reports that on consequence of the letter, copy enclosed, Captain David Woodruff has brought fifteen men from Norman Cross as volunteers for the Navy. There are four Americans, two Portuguese, one Italian and eight Danes. They are willing to enter without the bounty.
Folio 275: enclosure with folios 273-274. Signed by Ambrose Sirl, William Atway and John Marsh, Transport Office, 23 August 1797 write to Captain Woodruff that they will direct Mr Parrot to deliver to him all the neutral subjects at Norman Cross who wish to enter the Navy.
