Description

Folios 268-269: Joseph Short, Lynn.

Refers to the enclosure and reports that he apprehended Bedford [?Rufock], a deserter from HMS Speedwell who he has been returned to his ship. Three foreigners have accepted the conditions and will be sent to the Nore. HMS Speedwell arrived in the roads on 4 August 1797.

Folio 270: enclosure with folios 268-269. A weekly return from Lynn Rendezvous for the period 30 July to 5 August 1797 showing the number of volunteers and pressed men in the period.
