Refers to the enclosed petition and states that the petitioners are active men of good character. Captains Prescott and Woolley have recommended them.
Folios 266-267: enclosure with folios 264-265. Adam Guggle and Matthew [?Myaxly], midshipmen at the rendezvous at Lynn write to Joseph Short stating that they believe that the pay of midshipmen has been increased for those on board a fourth rate. Ask that they may be allowed the additional pay.
