Folios 262-263: Joseph Short, Lynn.
Reports that among the French that arrived were two Swedes and a Dane who wish to serve in His Majesty's Navy. The Dane had been employed in England for sixteen years and the background of the Swede is also provided. They state that if permitted to join the navy they will not ask their ambassador to obtain their discharge.
