Folios 258-259: Joseph Short, Lynn. Refers to an enclosed weekly return [not present]. Reports that the tender HMS Nancy left Lynn with eight men from Lynn and two from Boston. HMS Speedwell arrived.
Repeats his request for a boat and reports that five mothers and sisters had spoken to him asking for a day's liberty for relatives just returned from the Baltic. Without a boat he cannot communicate intelligence to Lieutenant Birchall.
