Folios 247-248: Joseph Short, Lynn.
Refers to an enclosed weekly report [not present] and reports that William Askew, a shipwright, deserted from the rendezvous the previous night. Short believes that he may return to the shipyard of Mr Wells. William Dixon, also a deserter, was sent to him by the civil power and admits to being a deserter from HMS Trusty and, previously, from HMS Arrogant. Reports that he has another deserter William Taylor described by the Admiralty in a letter dated 16 June 1797.
