Folios 245-246: Joseph Short, Lynn.
Acknowledges receipt of a letter dated 15 June 1797 which gave directions for apprehending any mutineers who might arrive in his area and points out that he needs a boat to examine vessels arriving at or leaving the port. Reports that Mr Hadley, a merchant, has a suitable boat to let for twelve shillings per week and if the Admiralty agrees to the rental he believes that he will be able to press many more men.
