Folios 232-233: Joseph Short, Lynn.
Refers to an enclosed weekly return of the Rendezvous [not present] and reports that three of the men delivered by Captain Woodruff, agent of transports, were among French prisoners but had formerly belonged to HM Navy. Two of them belonged to HMS Hussar and had a certificate from Captain James Colnett. The other was from HMS Culloden who was at the hospital in Leghorn when the French arrived and was forced on board a French privateer but wishes to return to the Navy. Reports that three vessels, HMS Hind's cutter Cygnet, the Smallbridge Ellison and British Queen transports sailed from Lynn that day.
