Folios 231-232: Thomas Sotheby, HMS Andromeda, off Bremer. Is in the river with HMS Leda, Peterell and Venus. The Arnold Polly has gone aground but the men rescued although the ship is wrecked. General Harcourt informs him that three regiments from the Embden garrison will arive in Bremen shortly and Lieutenant Presland has more information. HMS Syren has arrived and her Commander Captain Moores has information from Mr Brook Watson that Hamburg was the proper place for landing his money.
