Description

Folios 216-217: John Smith, HMS Lord Mulgrave, Hull Road. He took the convoy to the Elbe but then had orders on the 7 December 1795 from Captain Bayly HMS Greyhound to sail with him and the convoy. On the 22 December 1795, the convoy was dispersed because of the wind. He acknowledges the orders sending him to Kingroad for the Bristol convoy but he asks if he can call in at Nore as the ship's books have been sent to Sheerness as he had been ordered there on 23 November 1795.
