Folios 273-274: Sir Henry Edwin Stanhope, HMS Ruby, St. Helens. He is concerned about his Lieutenants. John Wilby, 1st Lieutenant is in hospital and his indisposition has prevented him doing any duty. John Flinn, 3rd Lieutenant is also sick and Lieutenant Thomas Sainsbury has yet to report for duty. He asks that 2nd Lieutenant James Share is not promoted as he is deaf and totally unfit for the post.
