Folios 242-243: Thomas Sotheby, HMS Andromeda, Hamoaze, Plymouth. He repeats his request for the transfer of William Jay, HMS Magnanime to be Boatswain of HMS Andromeda. He has received the letter offering John Moore, HMS Fly, but does not think he will be available until after HMS Andromeda is ready for sea.
Folios 244-245: enclosed with folios 242-243. Letter dated 27 October 1794 by John Moore, Boatswain, HMS Fly, Weymouth Roads. He writes to Thomas Sotheby, HMS Andromeda to explain that he will not be able to join him for some time. He asks him to write to Captain Mowbray, HMS Fly.
