Description (What the record is about)

Folios 236-237: Thomas Sotheby, HMS Andromeda, Milford Haven. He reports that as ordered he sailed to Dublin to take the convoy to Newport. Having found that it had sailed he went to Cork, but was blown into Milford Haven in a gale. Despite using all the anchors and hawsers the ship was driven ashore. He is repairing the damage as far as he can and intends to sail to Plymouth for proper repairs.
