Folios 216-217: Thomas Sotheby, HMS Daphne, Spithead. He reports his activities in convoying merchants ships to Plymouth and to the Downs. He has also on the orders of Vice Admiral Peyton been engaged in searching for French cruisers. He was also engaged with HMS Brilliant and Trial in protecting the coast around Nieuport.
Folio 218: enclosed with folios 216-217. Thomas Sotheby, HMS Daphne, Spithead. A detailed list dated 13 July 1794 of merchants ships convoyed by HMS Daphne.
