Folios 208-209: Thomas Sotheby, HMS Daphne, Plymouth. He reports that at the requesrt of the Mayor of Plymouth he convoyed a fleet of merchant ships to the Downs. On the orders of Vice Admiral Payton he then convoyed 7 India men and other vessels to Spithead, or to Plymouth.
