Folios 207-208: Samuel Campbell Rowley, Admiral's Office, Portsmouth. Advising that due to the loss of his late ship, the Laurel, her Gunner, Boatswain, and Carpenter, named as John Langridge, William Hanks, and Robert Williamson, are without employment and their clothes and belongings lost. As they have wives and families they are in dire need of assistance. Describes them as superior men in their situations and urges their Lordships to assist them with employment and promotion.
