Folios 412-413: Wilson Rathborne, Regulating Officer, North Shields. Encloses the Greenland Protection [not present] of John Hadaway, who was regulated today, and the register of his age. He acknowledges that he was never in Greenland or in the Fishery. A great number of protections are found on men, and he believes they are available for 2 - 3 guineas each.
Folio 414: enclosure with folios 412-413. Note dated 5 November 1811 signed by Joseph Oglivie, Elder, Scotch Church, North Shields. Extracted from the Register of Births and Baptisms: John, son of John Haddaway, shoe maker, and his spouse Mary, was born on 19th May and baptized on 17th June 1793.
