Folios 387-388: Wilson Rathborne, Regulating Officer, North Shields. Responding to the letter of 27 November and sends a report on the case of Thomas Guile. He returns the enclosure with Guile's Affidavit as Mate. Thomas Guile, Able Seaman, was pressed by Lieutenant Liddle, Sunderland, on 3 November, and detained for the Service as being on shore at night, not on ship's duty. Thomas Guile has been more than 20 years at sea, and is well suited for service.
Folios 389-390: enclosure with folios 387-388 Dixon Allen and Best, Pater Noster Row. They are instructed by the Parish Officers of Little Hampton [Littlehampton], Sussex, to apply for the discharge of Thomas Guile, age about 40 years, of Little Hampton, who was recently pressed from the brig Chloe of Shorehan, Captain Colloson. The application is made a s his family have no means of support.
