Folios 304-305: David Ramsey, Regulating Officer, Leith. Acknowledges receipt of the two letters of 1 November. One enclosed a description of a man named Johns, a journeyman Carpenter, who is implicated by verdict of a Coroner's jury, in the murder of Christopher Snell of South Bovey, Devon, and in the wounding two other British subjects who were employed to guard him. A reward of £50 will be paid by the Commissioners of His Majesty's Transport Service to any person who apprehends him or gives information leading to his arrest and detention in a prison in the United Kingdom. The other letter enclosed a list of 5 deserters from HMS Druid.
