Folios 225-226: Wilson Rathborne, Regulating Officer, North Shields. Responds to the letter of 10 October and sends a report on the case of John Pye, currently on board the Lyra tender, and returns the enclosure, together with Pye's Affidavit as Mate [not present]. John Pye, an Able Seaman, was pressed by Lieutenant Flinn, North Shields, on 12 September and detained as it appeared that the Owner, a seafaring man, had sailed in the vessel in addition to the Master, and thus protected more men than allowed. The Owner had been in the vessel to Lisbon on the last voyage. John Pye is 25 years old, a stout healthy active Seaman, well suited for service.
Folios 227-228: enclosure with folios 225-226. Letter dated 13 September 1811 from John Lowrey, North Shields, to The Admiralty. Requests the discharge of John Pye, an impressed Seaman currently on board the Lyra tender, in exchange for a sum of money.
