Folios 199-200: George Frederick Ryves, HMS Africa, Yarmouth. He needs a replacement for Lieutenant Troke as he has not done any duty for nine months. The moment Ryves left the ship, Troke went ashore and the other Officers assure him he will not return until the ship is ready to sail. He has no authority over the ship as he keeps company with the men. The Officers have turned him out of the ward room and he may avoid a Courts Martial. Lieutenant Tipper has not joined yet.
