Folios 141-142: Thomas Seccombe, Dover Street. Reports that when he was given a commission to command HMS Captain by Vice Admiral William Hotham it was because of his efforts to defend the port of St Fiorenzo when the French appeared and captured HMS Berwick. He was then left in command in the port. Asks the Admiralty to confirm his promotion to Post Captain.
