Folios 300-301: John Clarke Searle, HMS Pelican, Galleons Reach. His weekly accounts were not submitted on Saturday evening due to an accident. He encloses them now. HMS Pelican has everything on board except the anchors, which are not yet all ready, and her guns and gunners stores. The guns will come on board today. If the remainder of the stores can be ready before Saturday he intends to proceed to The Nore on Sunday. He hopes to obtain the required anchors at Sheerness. In an earlier letter he requested a supply of signal flags as there are none on board.
