Folios 484-485: Charles Rowley, Petersham, [Surrey]. He finds that his letter of 13 [February 1806] regarding Samuel Kyle has been misunderstood. Samuel Kyle passed his examination for a Lieutenant in 1805 or 1806 at the Navy Office. The purpose of his letter was to counter any objection that might arise to his confirmation as a Lieutenant frm having served as Acting Master of HMS Eagle and to recommend him for promotion.
