Folios 463-464: Charles Rowley, 34 Wimpole Street, [London]. He had not originally intended to apply for remuneration of expenses while Senior Officer in the Bay of Naples when the Calabrian war began, thinking that they would not be very great, He has kept no vouchers or documents that would allow him to present a detailed statement, but from his Steward's expenses, the hire of different boats and the money advance to the Chiefs he is sure the additional expense was nearer £500 than £400.
