Folios 117-118: Robert Rolles, Sea Fencibles, Hastings. He understands that the Civil Magistrates of the town and neighbourhood and the Commanding Officer of the military wish to celebrated the 50th anniversary of His Majesty's reign on 25 [October 1809]. Asks whether there is any objection to his contributing on behalf of the Navy, by firing a Royal Salute from the Batteries at Hastings, Rye and Eastbourne, where he and his Captains reside.
