Folios 89-90: Thomas Richbell, Regulating Officer, General Rendezvous Office, Tower Hill. receipt of letter and enclosures of 4 [October] concerning Alexander Adams, Pilot of HMS Deptford tender, directed to be impressed and sent to the Nore, but detained on account of a temporary illness. The Inspecting Surgeon informs him he was a attacked with a kind of intermittent fever when he came on board HMS Enterprize, but that he is well now. The certificate given him by Lieutenant Antram is in very vague terms, done without his knowledge. Assures them that from the report of his conduct during the time Lieutenant Barker was in charge of the tender in place of Lieutenant Antram who was ill, he should not be allowed to return to her. he appears to be contrite so he believes he would be sufficiently punished by being dismissed from the tender.
