Folios 77-78: Thomas Richbell, Regulating Officer, General Rendezvous Office, Tower Hill. Lieutenant Brice with a part of his gang was directed by himself to take charge of a Gravesend boat to deliver some of the River Fencibles to Rear Admiral Sir R J Strachan who had volunteered their services on the expedition under his command. On his return the vessel was so damaged that he was forced to put into Ramsgate, from where he proceeded with the gang to Margate, where he took passage for London. Asks that he may be allowed to charge the expenses of 32 shillings in his account of disbursements.
