Description

Folios 234-235: Edward Roe, Hartlepool. Reports that of the two Lieutenants allocated to him, John Thomas and Thomas Sutherland, he has placed one under Captain Praed at Sunderland, and the other under Captain Watson at Shields. Noting that North and South Shields are on different sides of the River Tyne, he asks that Lieutenant Charles Gayton Warren be appointed as another Lieutenant for Captain Watson. Acknowledges receipt of a press warrant for Lieutenant David A Dickson who will be placed in Hartlepool.
