Folios 475-476: John Russel, HMS Gier, Little Nore. As his sloop was a prize and no alteration was made in her masts, yards, sails and rigging, she is very heavily rigged and with only 81 men, 12 being boys, her compliment is not sufficient for working in bad weather especially with marines in addition.
