Folios 300-301: Thomas Rogers, HMS mercury, Trieste Road. Enclosing a copy of his letter to Lord Keith detailing the gallant service of the ships under his command in spite of the fact that Lieutenant has to relinquish his prize after 3 hours of possession.
Folios 302-303: enclosure with folios 300-301. Letter dated 26 May 1801 from Thomas Rogers to Admiral Lord Keith. Reporting on the capture and loss of the late sloop the Bulldog laying in the port of Ancona by Lieutenant William Mather. 2 seamen were killed and 4 wounded in the engagement. The French lost above 20 killed, wounded and drowned.
