Folios 233-234: William Henry Ricketts, HMS Naiad, Plymouth Sound. Enclosing a copy of his letter to Admiral William Cornwallis.
Folios 235-236: enclosure with folios 233-234. Letter dated 19 May 1801 from William Henry Ricketts, HMS Naiad in Montevideo Bay. The boats belonging to HMS Naiad and Phaeton manned by volunteer officers, seamen and marines under Lieutenant [?] [?], HMS Phaeton captured La Alcudia and demolished El [?] armed Spanish Corunna [facility?] in the port of Marin , Pontevidra under the protection of 5 gun battery, La Alcudia commanded by Don Juan Antonio Barbuto. Only 4 men from the 2 ships were wounded. La Alcudia was later set on fire.
