Description

Folios 164-165: Wilson Rathborne, HMS Good Design, Hull. He applied to Admiral Dixon as Admiral Duncan has retired, for a refit at Shields but has not heard, so he asks for permission as he needs stores as well.

Folio 166: Enclosure with folios 164-165: Wilson Rathborne, HMS Good Design, Whitebooth Broads to Admiral Dixon dated October 29 1978. The Rivers Elbe and Weser are full of ice. He has had an order from Admiral Duncan on 7th October 1798 to go to Shields for a refit but could not go then because he had charge of a convoy so he asks to go now as he needs cables and sails.
