Folios 207-208: Henry Matson, HMS Venus, Yarmouth off Isle of White. Enclosing two letters from Lieutenant Edward Roberts that request Robert Mulberry, HMS Venus’s Surgeon is Court Marshaled for not coming to his assistance when ill and ignoring Captain’s orders.
Folio 209: enclosed in folios 207-208. Letter dated 29 January 1804 by Lieutenant Edward Roberts, HMS Venus. Left table in Gunroom at dinner. Slumped in his cabin. Sent for the doctor who wouldn’t come. Requesting he’s ordered.
Folios 209A: enclosed in folios 207-208. Letter dated 30 January 1804 by Lieutenant Edward Roberts, HMS Venus. Says the Surgeon Robert Mulberry came to his room. Didn't ask after his health and used bad language. Requests a Court Martial.
