Folios 205-206: Henry Matson, HMS Venus, Spithead. Reply to letter 4 January to put Lieutenant Francis Laird as Run on his books as he’s been absent since 2 December 1803. Says when he appeared 26 December his excuse was he’d had a fit of illness which appeared was the case. Asks shall he put him Run?
