The Office for Place (OFP) was an arms-length body set up by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communites in 2022. Its purpose was to support and improve designs to create appealing and enduring new developments to make housing more attractive and create a sense of belonging in new communities. The OFP was absorbed into the the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government in November 2024.
